If VGI Builds The Site Once I Order It, Isn’t That A Custom Design?
Yes, and no. VGI Networks reduces your cost by already having the basic building blocks in place for a site. When you order a Streamline Web Design project, the bare essentials of the site have already been built. This is essentially phase 1 of the process, the layout, as well as selecting a style in phase 4. In essence you are putting together a “puzzle” from the many available pieces.
Isn’t This Process Just A Template Design?
Yes and no.
Yes in a sense that the basic layouts and styles to select from have already been written. That’s where the similarity stops.
No because we simply don’t offer a “Here’s the site, plug in your content” approach. You will actually choose everything about your site’s look and feel. Once completed, one of our web design professionals will take your input and build the site. The web design process is streamlined, because we have already pre-built the basics. This approach saves you not only in the time it takes to get the results you want, but the cost of those results being completely custom built as well.
Does A Streamline Site Still Conform To Web Standards?
Absolutely, 110% yes. Just because the process is streamlined, absolutely does not mean that quality is sacrificed. You will receive the exact same quality product as if you had ordered a fully custom website. Web standards are not something to use only if it’s convenient at the time. It’s a way of life. Your visitors may have disabilities, different computer operating systems and browsers, who knows. By the use of web standards your website will be accessible to as many people as possible, and nobody will be left out in the dark.

VGI Networks offers both types of web design.
Our Streamline Web Design process is designed to save you money while producing the same quality results as a custom design job. Any client may select from our wide variety of options, and put together the site that’s right for them. While it is possible, it is highly unlikely that any Streamline Web Design project turns out exactly like another.
By selecting a custom web design project, you control every single aspect and detail of your site’s creation. You control where each element is positioned, how they look, and what drives your site. It’s exactly how you want it, and it’s built only for you. If you need a website that functions in a certain way, and offers certain features, then a custom project from VGI Networks is the right choice for you. Even though the site is custom, VGI Networks strives to provide you a reasonable, fair price for the quality of work you will receive.
In short, our Streamline Web Design is a buffet of choices, and our custom design is made to order.
What About Hosting?
Streamline design projects are hosted on VGI Networks servers, at a 20% discount off of our standard hosting prices. You may visit the web hosting area of our site for more information about the plans we offer, and to decide on a plan that’s right for you. Your ACM will handle getting your account ready for you, once you let them know of your decision for hosting. If you order through or normal hosting process, you will not receive the discount. For more information, your ACM would be more than happy to help you. In general, most small companies do fine on our L1-P plan, which would simply be $7.16 per month. All of our hosting accounts come with the infamous cPanel control panel, where you can do things such as add and manage email addresses, etc.
What About A Domain Name?
If you already have a domain name, once your project is ready you may point your domain name to our name servers. These will be provided by your ACM. If you do not have a domain name yet, your ACM can assist you in choosing a domain name, and VGI Networks will be happy to register it for you for the low price of only $15.00 per year.
How Long Will My Project Take?
This will depend on the size of project selected, when our next opening for one of our web design professionals is, and how quickly you respond to your ACM.
However, typical times are as follows:
- 1 page site: Next business day.
- 3 page site: 1-2 business days.
- 5 page site: 2-3 business days.
- 10 page site: 5-10 business days.
- 20 page site: 10-20 business days.
These are typical times. Your ACM will advise you on the estimated time of completion.
When Will I Need To Submit Payment?
Payment for projects less than $1000.00 will be due in full prior to beginning. For projects over this mark, you will need to provide at least a 50% down payment prior to beginning. The remaining balance will be due prior to your site being made publicly available.
Due to the quick turnaround time of our Streamline Web Design projects, most clients find it easier to pay in full at the beginning of the project.
We accept Visa and MasterCard through our secure gateway, as well as payments through our secondary provider PayPal. Payments through PayPal also include Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and E-Checks as well as traditional PayPal transfers.
Do I Own The Design? What If I Want To Move To Another Hosting Provider?
In order to keep the prices low we typically do not relinquish our copyright to the material provided. All Streamline Design projects must be housed on one of our servers. However, in certain rare circumstances, we may allow the site to be hosted elsewhere for a one time licensing fee.
