Hemphill Law
Mr. Hemphill originally came to VGI Networks with his own site. Recently, Mr. Hemphill decided his site needed a facelift, and entrusted VGI Networks to build a solution. Through the use of web standards, we not only gave his website an improved look, and inviting appearance, but we also cut the amount of data being sent between the website and the end users browser by an average of 47%.

Greater Dallas EMS
Greater Dallas EMS came to VGI Networks with a problem. Their current website was anything but a compliment to their level of quality and expertise in service. Being the EMS Service trusted by Texas Motor Speedway to handle all Ambulatory services for any on-track event, and gaining national exposure at the same time wasn’t helping. They needed something of value to the end user, as well as something that their staff could rely on as well on a daily basis.

RFMA
RFMA came to VGI Networks with a very specific need to not only be able to provide quality information about their organization to the end user, but also to be able to provide additional value to their members for their membership investment. VGI answered the call with community concept, where members could have a forum for interaction, read industry related articles, and be able to ask subject matter experts for advice on certain issues. RFMA also needed to be able to edit and maintain certain aspects of their site’s information that frequently changed. Such as upcoming events, contacts, and other such information.

Silver Tray Catering
Silver Tray Catering originally came to VGI Networks with an outdated website that drastically needed to be overhauled. They wanted something comfortable, inviting, that also helped build their brand. Originally developed and launched as a completely static website, it was recently relaunched as a dynamically driven application. Silver Tray needed to be able to make certain additions and changes on a whim, and often couldn’t afford even an hour or two difference between submitting their changes to their Account Manager, and having the changes implemented. Utilizing their current maintenance and development package to its fullest, VGI began recreating their entire site as their monthly time allowed. Using a mixture of open source and custom code, VGI Networks met their goal, and their monthly cost was significantly reduced. The monthly savings could then in turn be reapplied in other marketing areas, creating a win-win situation for all involved.

The Traveling LAN
The Traveling LAN hired VGI Networks to create a website which would be a focal point to their new business. Specializing in a gaming environment, they were going to provide a massive mobile network that traveled to different cities during the year to hold what online gamers refer to as a “LAN Party”. The site was to have the capability to tie into their mobile network, where they could post live tournament updates and statistics. While VGI Networks met their needs with a crisp, clean site, unfortunately their marketing platform was pulled out from under them without notice. Their endeavor is currently in what has come to be an extra-long holding pattern, but they were and still are extremely pleased with their project.

Lincoln Blogs
A member of the Lincoln County community came to VGI Networks with a problem, and a vision of the solution. Currently, while some individual towns in the county have some sort of a website, there isn’t a specific one-stop place for county residents and interested parties to get information about upcoming events, local businesses, and communicate amongst themselves. The idea is to bring the information and community together in one location. A location that all towns within the county can update their information, as well as a place for local residents to announce their events, and discuss topics of interest. As an added twist, the site aims to allow members to have their own little corner of the web, if they so desire, in the form of a blog. However, there was a catch.
The budget wasn’t much, and on top of it the site wants all of its services to be free of charge to the end users. Including if the user would like their own blog space.
VGI Networks was able to work together and come up with an alternative solution. Using a mixture of mostly open-source software, with some custom touches added in, VGI Networks was able to produce a plan that not only met the need, but met the budget as well. Cost offsets will be balanced by their anticipated support from local businesses, and they are planning on launching the site in late summer or early fall of 2006.
In conjunction with VGI Networks strong sense of being a part of the community, we will also be assisting with the site in part as a community donation, as well as being one of the first sponsors of the project. In this situation, everybody has won, especially the target audience for which the project is being built.
