The Streamline Web Design Process
Phase 1: Tell Us About Your Business.
First, tell us about your business. This ensures we will be able to provide a relevant selection/recommendation for phase 3.
Phase 2: Select A Layout.
Next, your ACM will contact you and provide you with the options to select a layout for your site, as well as options for phase 3.
Phase 3: Select A Header.
Next, you will select your header. This is the main area at the top of your site. This may be a solid color, gradient color (fade from one color to another), or select the “perfect” image from dozens of images in our catalog. Your ACM will provide you with images to select from that are relevant to your business. Once this has been decided, it’s on to phase 4. Your ACM will provide you with more details on selecting an image.
At this time, your ACM will gather the information required to process your payment. You may either complete this securely online, or via telephone during normal business hours. We absolutely will not accept payment information by email.
Once we receive your payment we will also set up your web hosting account, and domain name. At this time, if you already have a domain name, your ACM will ask that you point your domain name to our domain name servers. This will be done through the registrar where you have your domain registered.
Phase 4: Provide The Page Content.
With the first 3 phases complete, your site is ready for content. Simply provide your ACM the content for each page, and you can sit back and relax while one of the VGI Networks developers goes to work on phase 5. At this time you will also need to provide your logo, if applicable. If you do not have one, ask your ACM about having VGI Networks create one for you at a nominal cost.
Phase 5: VGI Builds Your Site.
Now that you have selected all the options for your site, one of VGI Networks developers will put it together for you. This isn’t your typical point, click, and now it’s online affair. Sites that are created in that manner show it. Your site will be built by a professional, with the professional results you want. In return, your website will have that professional look and feel that only a quality designer can provide. Based on your input from earlier phases, the designer working on your site will be sure to take care of even the smallest details. From choosing the appropriate matching color scheme, to the fonts used for the text, and more.
Phase 6: Your Final Approval.
Once the site is created, we will need your final approval. Once you’re satisfied, the site will be made publicly available for the world to see. You may request up to two (2) rounds of minor changes. Changes to layout will be subject to a $25 redesign charge, per page.
After The Project Is Completed.
Once your project is completed, you will not be alone. VGI Networks will be by your side for the life of your project. Your ACM will always be there to lend a helping hand when you need it. VGI Networks also offers monthly maintenance and update packages, tailored to fit your needs.
5 Tips For A Successful Project.
- Provide as much information as possible. The more our designers have to work with, the better the outcome will be. This will also help avoid delays in the timeline for your site.
- If you have questions, please ask them. We’re here for you, to help you succeed. Our friendly staff is more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
- Please be patient, and provide information in a timely fashion. Many projects slow their timeline down due to a lack of timely responses when the developer needs pertinent information.
- If initiating contact via our convenient web form, please allow time for us to evaluate your information and respond. Also, please ensure your contact information is accurate. Please take into consideration the time of your request, and if our office is closed, we will contact you as soon as possible during the next business day.
- Even though your site may be ready as soon as the next business day, your domain name may not be. This is due to the time it takes for the domain name to be updated with the DNS servers across the internet, and it is not within our control.
